The Duke Investment Club is the premier student finance organization at Duke University with over 950 members. The club is run by undergraduates under the supervision of a faculty adviser and has two core functions.
One focus is financial education, which includes weekly meetings that summarize market events and discuss a wide range of topics from derivatives to the evolution of industry. The second focus is investing; the club manages a $50,000 portion of the Duke Endowment that is put to work in weekly Investment Committee meetings using in-depth fundamental analysis. The club may be best known, however, for the Investor Training Program, which is an introductory course to markets and valuation and will teach you the basics for Investment Banking and Sales & Trading interviews.
In addition to opportunities to conduct investment research as an undergraduate, the club offers students unrivaled networking and mentorship opportunities, a strong history of successful alumni placements, and exclusive events with top Wall Street firms.
